UnityPoint Clinic Pediatrics Clinic is seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. The CMA will support patient care, assist with exams and treatments, and provide patient education in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The Ideal candidate holds Iowa CMA certification, experience in a clinical or outpatient setting, and familiarity with the EPIC EHR system. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Valid and current certification as CMA in Iowa.
• CMA certification from accredited program.
• Prior experience in clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC EHR is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures.
• Room patients, record histories, vital signs, and document in EHR.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per licensure.
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

Qualifications

• Valid and current certification in the state of Iowa for Medical Assisting
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - accredited program with certification (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, NCMA, NAHP, AAH, ARMA or NHCA)
• Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
