Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Pediatric Care in Carmel. The MA will support providers during ambulatory visits, perform routine labs, help with referrals, and contribute to quality outcomes for the practice population.

Ideal candidates have completion/certification in medical assisting and at least one year of MA experience; certification and EPIC EMR proficiency are required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program OR a High School Diploma/GED + one year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice within the past three years.
  • Medical Assistant certification and 1 year of experience required for this location
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including required cleaning and stocking of supplies
  • Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload
  • Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection
  • Documentation of care using the EPIC EMR system
  • Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and available protocols
  • Process referrals and medication refills
  • Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff

Responsibilities
