Altasciences in Collingswood, NJ is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinicians and prepare patients for evaluation. You will obtain vital signs, document medical history, update EMR, and help maintain exam rooms and supplies.

The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, accurate charting, clear communication with patients, and efficient scheduling. Experience with EHR/EMR systems (Athena preferred) and CPR certification are valued.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a medical office preferred, minimum 6 months required.
• Familiar with EKG, Phlebotomy and Patient Care.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• CPR certified.
• Experience on EHR/EMR systems, Athena preferred.
• Knowledge of pre-authorizations and referrals.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with direct patient care and vitals.
• Prepare charts, take temperature, BP, and screenings.
• Maintain exam rooms, organize supplies, and manage workflow.
• Update EMR with patient history and medications.
• Schedule initial evaluations, follow-ups, and reminders.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Answer phones and perform general front-office tasks.
