Altasciences in Franklin Township, New Jersey is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff. The CMA prepares patients for evaluations, records vital signs, and updates EMR while maintaining a smooth clinic workflow.

The role requires 2+ years in a medical office, CPR certification, and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (Athena preferred). Sleep medicine experience is a plus, with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of similar job experience in a medical office preferred, 6 months minimum required.
• Sleep Medicine experience a plus.
• Familiar with EKG, Phlebotomy and Patient Care.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• CPR certified.
• Experience on EHR and EMR systems, Athena preferred.
• Knowledge of pre-authorizations and referrals.

Responsabilités

• Assist with direct patient care and prepare charts and vital signs.
• Assist physicians by maintaining workflow, organizing exam rooms and ordering supplies.
• Document patient history and update EMR.
• Maintain HIPAA, OSHA, and privacy policies.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and remind patients of visits.
