The Altasciences team in Manasquan, NJ is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient prep and clinical assistance. The CMA will collect vitals, document medical history, and update the EMR to ensure accurate patient records.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a medical office, CPR certification, and experience with EHR/EMR systems (Athena preferred). This role requires HIPAA compliance and strong communication with patients and staff.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years of medical office experience (6 months minimum).
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant designation.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience with EHR/EMR systems, Athena preferred.
• Knowledge of pre-authorizations and referrals.

Aufgaben

• Assist nursing staff by providing direct patient care and preparing charts.
• Support physicians by organizing exam rooms and managing supplies.
• Greet patients, collect vitals, and document history in EMR.
• Input patient history and medication list into EMR.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and infection control practices.
• Schedule evaluations and remind patients of appointments.
• Answer phones and perform general office duties.
