Job summary

Health First in Florida seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient visits with comprehensive intake, vital signs, and accurate EMR documentation, focusing on patient-centered care.

The role requires CMA/RMA certification and AHA BLS, along with a High School diploma or Technical Medical Assisting credential. You will perform point-of-care tests, assist with meds under supervision, and ensure safe, compliant patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Diploma in Medical Assisting.
• CMA or RMA certification from a recognized body.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Certification is required before start.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and performs point of care testing such as urine dipstick and blood glucose.
• Performs clinical intake including vital signs and history.
• Assists in medication administration under provider oversight.
• Stocking, supply ordering, and equipment maintenance.
• Sets up patients for examination and prepares notes and test results for providers.
• Communicates lab and imaging results to patients and providers and documents accordingly.
• Adheres to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control policies.
