Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is hiring a Medical Assistant Certified/Registered for Internal Medicine in Pinehurst, NC. The role supports patient care by performing clinical and administrative tasks under supervision, including taking vital signs, recording data, and coordinating appointments.

Responsibilities include escorting patients, assisting physicians with exams, documenting medical information, and handling referrals and communications to keep patient flow smooth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification through CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), CCMA (NHA), or NCMA (NCCA) is required.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• One year of work experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, and record vital signs.
• Coordinate and provide patient support services such as scheduling appointments and answering phones.
• Register patients and assist with referrals and chart documentation.
• Practice within in-scope medical/clinic assistant duties and perform other duties as assigned.
