Geisinger is seeking a Medical Assistant with CMA or RMA certification to join our clinical team. You will document patient visits, assess vitals, and support providers in examinations and minor procedures.

The role involves rooming patients, taking vital signs, drawing blood, performing EKGs, and assisting with medications under supervision. Full benefits apply from day one with tuition reimbursement and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
• Certified by governing associations: NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA.

Responsabilités

• Assess and document patient visit info using the EMR rooming tool.
• Set up examination and treatment rooms between patients.
• Assist the provider during visits, including minor procedures and wound care.
• Prepare and administer medications as per policy, excluding IVs.
• Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy as supervised.
• Maintain accurate medical records and process referrals/pre-authorizations.
