Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced practice. You will room patients, collect histories, perform check-in/out, manage authorizations, schedule referrals, and document in the EMR with a focus on accurate, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RMA, CMA or NRCMA certification with active status.
• Eligibility across ARMA/AAH/NCCT/AAMA/AMT/NAHP/NHA credentials.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect clinical history including chief complaint and medical history.
• Perform check-in/check-out, gather information, and verify insurance.
• Complete prior authorizations and schedule tests and referrals as needed.
• Document in EMR and communicate with patients, families, and pharmacies.
• Administer medications and immunizations per provider orders; assist with procedures.
• Read TB test results and provide patient education materials.
• Maintain exam room supplies and support routine administrative duties.
