Job summary

Renown Health's Damonte Urgent Care in Reno, NV is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support providers in front and back-office duties and to serve as a liaison between the provider and patient. This role may float to various sites within the health system.

You will room patients, take vital signs, prepare lab specimens, process referrals, schedule tests, and help coordinate patient test results, reminders, and education in an urgent-care setting.

Qualifications

• Must have working-level knowledge of the English language.
• Multi-physician office practice experience highly preferred.
• Current Nevada license for Office Laboratory Assistant or Certified Laboratory Assistant, or be eligible to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in back-office duties and coordinate patient care.
• Escort patients to examination rooms and take vital signs per guidelines.
• Prepare lab specimens and process referrals; obtain authorizations as needed.
• Coordinate with patients to complete workups and track test results and reminders.
