Hometown Health in Reno, NV seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support providers in front- and back-office duties within a Medical Home/medical group setting. You will work side-by-side with the care team to ensure timely patient care and accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes rooming patients, taking vital signs, preparing labs, coordinating referrals, and assisting with casts, splints, braces, and patient education while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must have working-level knowledge of the English language (reading, writing, speaking).
• Multi-physician office practice experience highly preferred.
• Current Nevada license for Office Laboratory Assistant or Certified Laboratory Assistant or application due within 90 days of employment.
• Certification(s) required at time of hire: CMA, CCMA, CMA, NRCMA, RMA, NREMT or state equivalents.
• Computer/Typing skills required to access online forms, policies and enrollment processes within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Escort patient from waiting room to examination room promptly.
• Take vital signs as per guidelines.
• Prepare lab specimens for processing.
• Complete referral forms and obtain authorizations.
• Schedule patients for tests and manage communications.
• Assist with casts, splints, and braces as directed by provider.
• Coordinate with care team to track results and patient education.
