Job summary

ProMedica Monroe Physicians in Toledo is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work directly with patients and providers, delivering clinical excellence and an enhanced patient experience.

You will take vital signs, perform tests, and prepare patients for visits while following clinical protocols and regulatory requirements. Strong communication with the health care team and leadership in MA and Patient Service Coordinator teams are essential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; completed MA program or 1 year MA experience.
• Experience in the medical industry or related healthcare roles; continuing education accepted.
• Registration or Certification as Medical Assistant; or active state license as LPN/RN.
• BLS (CPR) required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) either at hire or within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs and perform specialized tests.
• Prepare patients for visits and document accordingly, following clinical protocols.
• Answer patient calls and relay messages to providers or nurses.
• Lead as a resource and role model for Medical Assistants and Patient Service Coordinator teams.
