Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work directly with patients and providers, delivering clinical excellence and enhanced patient experience. You will prepare patients for visits by taking vital signs, performing tests, and coordinating schedules, while following clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

Communication is key as you interact with patients and health care team members. The role also requires leadership as a resource for Medical Assistants and Patient Service

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited MA/Medical Assistant program.
• Registration or Certification as a Medical Assistant or active LPN/RN license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits by taking and documenting vital signs and performing basic tests.
• Interact with patients, peers, and all members of the health care team.
• Answer patient phone calls and relay messages for providers or nurses.
• Serve as resource and role model for Medical Assistants and Patient Service Coordinator teams.
