Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Center For Health Services in Toledo. In this role you will interact with patients and coworkers within a patient-centric care model, gathering data, documenting visit reasons, and obtaining vitals to support clinical excellence.

You will communicate with patients, peers, and the health care team, extending your clinical knowledge beyond patient rooms by answering calls and relaying messages for providers or nurses.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• BLS (CPR) certification required or obtainable within 90 days of hire (AHA).
• Preferred: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals and document reasons for visit.
• Communicate with patients, peers, and all members of the health care team.
• Support clinical excellence and provide a safe patient experience from entry to exit.
• Relate patient data and relay messages for providers or nurses as needed.
