The role requires 0-1 years of experience in a medical setting or externship completion, knowledge of medical terminology, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques
• Proficiency in medical record systems and basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service
• Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Critical thinking skills for analyzing and resolving clinical and administrative challenges
• Ability to perform care according to age-specific competencies

Responsibilities

• Assist with core clinical procedures (vital signs, injections, vaccines, phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care).
• Prepare and clean exam rooms for visits and procedures.
• Handle patient intake, report test results, and document information.
• Maintain daily logs and documentation.
• Support administrative tasks: pre-register patients, schedule, referrals, insurance verification, and clinic communications.
• Provide prompt, courteous service to providers, patients, and visitors.
• Monitor and requisition clinic supplies and equipment.
• Educate patients on medications and health topics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain reliable attendance and comply with policies.
