Job summary

Community Health Systems seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical and administrative functions in a busy practice. Under the supervision of a medical provider, you will assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, manage patient intake, and ensure efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.

0–1 year of experience is required; CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program
• CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT certification required
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with clinical procedures and patient care
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms for patient visits
• Performs patient intake duties and documents medical information
• Reviews and maintains daily logs and documentation
• Supports administrative duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, and insurance verification
• Maintains organized workload and delivers prompt service
• Monitors and requisitions clinic supplies and equipment
• Educates patients on medications and health topics
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies
