Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health invites applications for a Certified Medical Assistant at the Defiance Clinic. The role supports the primary care physician, ensuring patient care complies with Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines. Responsibilities include chart review, vital signs, and room preparation.

EDU: High School Diploma or GED; MA certification from CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA/ABR-OE is required or acceptable. BLS CPR is required at certain locations.

Qualifications

• CMA/MA certification from CMA, RMA, CCMA, NRCMA, NCMA, or ABR-OE if MA certification is not obtainable

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and community in a respectful manner
• Reviewing and updating health records and preparing treatment rooms
• Measuring vital signs and assisting during examinations
• Managing clerical duties: inventory, referrals, and phone coverage
• Troubleshooting and resolving problems promptly
• Other duties as assigned
