Job summary

Maryland Primary Care Physicians is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support primary health care delivery and patient care management. You will greet patients, assist with examinations, document vital signs, manage specimens, and help ensure smooth patient flow in a fast-paced clinic.

Under supervision of the Practice Manager, you will perform basic patient care tasks, support care coordination, maintain EMR records, and help with triage, medication administration, and room preparation

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care, exams, diagnostics, and treatment room procedures.
• Ability to take vital signs and document in EMR.
• Experience handling specimens and specimen labeling.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and document histories and vital signs.
• Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
• Manage patient flow and exam room preparation.
• Handle triage, scheduling of tests, and referrals.
• Prepare, collect, and forward specimens to labs.
• Enter and update EMR records and care plans.
