Job summary

The position requires a high school diploma/GED and MA program completion, with certification preferred. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday 8am–6pm with rotating Saturday coverage; CPR/BLS certification

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D required
• Graduated from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program
• CMA or CCMA certified preferred
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, patients and outside agencies
• Professional demeanor and appearance

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature) for all patients
• Perform tests including EKGs, vision and hearing screenings, and oxygen saturation
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient and health center information
• Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups; ensure HIPAA compliance
• Oversee provider schedule and patient flow
• Maintain labs/work area and log books; assist with vaccines and lab specimens
• Assist with quality improvement projects as directed
