Springfield Clinic is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians, nurses and allied staff in both direct and indirect patient care.

The role involves organizing the nursing station, preparing patients for exams, documenting vital signs, and assisting with tests and medication administration under supervision. CPR certification is required within 30 days of hire, with credentials maintained per policy.

Qualificações

• Must graduate from an accredited medical assisting program or have an equivalent credential.
• Maintain CMA/RMA/NCMA credentials as required; CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED required; strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with physicians, nurses and staff in a patient-focused environment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians, NP/PA, RNs and LPNs in direct and indirect patient care.
• Organize nursing station and records for efficient workflow and accuracy.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments according to patient needs.
• Prepare patients for exams and document vital signs and chief complaints.
• Order tests, prepare procedures, and provide patient home-care instructions.
• Call in prescriptions and verify medication instructions under provider direction.
• Maintain infection control policies and comply with clinic procedures.
• Ensure accuracy of medical records and coordinate with insurance for referrals.
