Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
• Current CMA credential in good standing.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients by providing information, support, and professional customer service.
• Verify patient information, obtain medical histories, confirm visit purpose, allergies, medications, and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including explaining treatments and obtaining proper consents.
• Assist physicians with in-office procedures, injections, wound care, suture/staple removal, and post-operative follow-up.
• Administer medications as directed by the provider and within CMA scope of practice.

Education

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program

Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
