Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years MA experience preferred.
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, review and document patient medical history and record vital signs in EMR.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist the physician during the examination.
• Provide patient with accurate information, instruction, and education.
• Administer medications as directed by physician.
• Pre-certify patients for treatment.
• Pull all orders and ensure no patient open orders.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for processing.
• Proactively follow up with patient labs and records.
• Ensure patient is scheduled with correct provider.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and OSHA standards.
