Job summary

ScionHealth is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in our outpatient clinics. You will perform clinical tasks and handle administrative duties to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, EKGs, vaccine administration, wound care, medication preparation, EMR documentation, and coordinating care with the care team. CMA certification and BCLS are required at hire.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in EHRs and clinical software.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
• Ability to triage patient concerns and escalate appropriately.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Professional demeanor and adherence to safety protocols.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rooming patients, taking vitals, performing EKGs, and assisting in office-based procedures.
• Conduct certified-level clinical procedures such as vaccine administration, wound care, and specimen collection.
• Prepare and administer medications under physician direction.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot clinical equipment; ensure EMR accuracy and documentation.
• Coordinate care, verify insurance, obtain prior authorizations, and educate patients.
