Job summary

Qualifications

• CMA certification required or within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Medical Terminology Certificate preferred at time of hire.
• MA program completed at an accreditation approved by NC/CA or board.

Responsibilities

• Take patient's vital signs and prepare them for care.
• Correctly document all entries in the medical record with signature, date and time.
• Administer medications under supervision of licensed physician.
• Observe and report patient signs or symptoms and collect routine specimens.
• Administer basic first aid and participate in care coordination.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
