Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required or within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.
• Medical Terminology Certificate preferred at time of hire.
• High School Diploma / GED required at time of hire.
• MA program accreditation required or preferred by the board.

Responsibilities

• Take patient's vital signs and prepare for provider care.
• Document all medical record entries with signature, date, and time.
• Administer medications under physician supervision.
• Observe and report patient signs or symptoms and collect specimens as directed.
• Provide basic first aid and participate in improvement projects.
• Be an active care team member coordinating patient care.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients and staff.
