Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have CMA certification from an accredited program.
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Knowledge of patient privacy laws and documentation standards.
• Ability to document patient information accurately and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient examinations under physician guidance.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms; ensure supplies are stocked.
• Guide patients from waiting room and prep for examinations.
• Interview patients and update medical records; ensure paperwork is ready before visits.
• Record vital signs and prepare patients for exams, tests, and X-rays.
• Perform ECGs and collect blood and urine samples for processing.
• Administer routine medications and vaccinations as directed; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings and remove sutures when needed.
