Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant 2 in the Cardiology specialty. The role involves assisting physicians with examinations, preparing treatment rooms, collecting patient data, performing ECGs, injections, and basic administrative duties.

Emphasis on teamwork and ongoing staff training. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and CMA certification from a recognized issuing body; BLS within 30 days of joining.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of professional experience preferred.
• CMA certification from NCCT, AAMA, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA, or similar issued by recognized body.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of joining.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctor with patient examinations and treatments.
• Set up treatment rooms and ensure cleanliness post-procedure.
• Escort patients from waiting area and prep for examinations.
• Record medical history and vital signs.
• Perform routine tests and ECGs and collect specimens.
• Administer medications as instructed by physician.
• Manage scheduling and administrative tasks.
• Mentor and train staff as part of team duties.
