Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinicians and patients, updating records, administering medications, giving injections, and recording vital signs. You will maintain accurate documentation with precision and provide patient-focused service throughout visits.

You will assist with examinations, prepare treatment rooms, collect specimens, and ensure patient comfort while adhering to safety and privacy standards in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Medical assistant certification from a program accredited by a reputable professional healthcare association.
• Knowledge of medical administration safety procedures and standards.
• Understanding of the five patient rights.
• Ability to document patient information according to policies and privacy laws.
• Ability to observe a patient\'s condition and report abnormalities.
• Skilled at administering injections and drawing blood.
• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Ability to foster trust with patients.
• Willingness to follow physicians\' instructions.
• Familiarity with medical charts and records.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient examinations and treatment under physician guidance.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms, maintain cleanliness.
• Escort patients from the waiting room and prepare for exam.
• Interview patients and update medical records.
• Record vital signs and prepare patients for tests.
• Perform tests including ECG and collect samples.
• Administer routine medications and vaccinations.
• Change dressings and remove sutures as needed.
