Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Florida Medical Clinic in Zephyrhills. This full-time role supports the Interventional Pain Management department, assisting physicians and APPs in ambulatory care and ensuring smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include data collection, procedure assistance, documentation, and scheduling coordination. MFA responsibilities require high school completion and MA training or equivalent experience, with BLS and relevant certifications

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved program or 1 year of verifiable MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Support physicians/APP during examinations and procedures.
• Collect patient data through interviews and observation.
• Prepare patients and families for examination.
• Administer routine treatments and medications as directed.
• Document patient data and education in the medical record.
• Coordinate scheduling and referrals for specialty testing/consultations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain infection control standards and comply with policies.
