Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least 1 year CMA experience) required.
• Licensure/certification: current BLS and CMA/MA certification from an approved agency or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care under the direction of the physician or APP in an ambulatory setting.
• Greet and prepare patients for examination; collect data and assist during procedures.
• Enter orders, document treatments, and educate patients per policy.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families; coordinate with administrative staff.
