Emory Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform assigned patient care and observation duties in an outpatient setting under the supervision of a licensed provider, RN, or LPN. The role includes basic phlebotomy, medication administration per policy, specimen collection, and room maintenance.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a current BLS certification.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current AHA BLS certification is required for hire.
• CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), CCMA (NHA), or NCMA (NCCT) certifications preferred.
• One year work experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Performs assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a licensed provider, RN, or LPN.
• Administers a limited profile of medications per Emory Clinic approved policy.
• Performs simple and some complex diagnostic tests and collects specimens.
• Draws blood, sterilizes and cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms in outpatient care.
• Maintains patient charts and supports patient and practice operations, including check-in/out and patient education.
