Job summary

Icco, Llc. is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant in Bend, Oregon to support patient care in a team-focused clinic. You will prepare patients, manage vital signs, and assist providers with injections and examinations.

Responsibilities include room preparation, specimen collection, EMR documentation, patient education, and coordinating follow-ups. A High school diploma and current MA certification are preferred; 1 year of experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Certification: Current Medical Assistant certification preferred; BLS required.
• Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination; record vital signs and history; assist as directed.
• Prepare exam rooms; set up and sterilize equipment for procedures.
• Administer injections; change dressings; wound care under orders.
• Collect specimens; perform routine in-house lab tasks and log results.
• Document patient care in EMR; schedule tests and follow-ups.
• Provide patient and family education on treatments and meds.
• Coordinate with cross-functional team to ensure seamless care.
• Phlebotomy and clinic opening/closing duties; patient call-backs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for examination, records vital signs and history, and provides treatment as applicable
• Prepares exam/treatment rooms; select, setup, sterilize, and maintain medical supplies and equipment for procedures
• Prepare and administer injections, change dressings, and facilitate wound management under providers orders
• Collect blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens through routine in-house testing procedures, and analyze and prepare for testing, log results, and perform lab call-backs
• Document basic patient care and procedures, utilizing appropriate forms and electronic medical records
• Schedule patients for tests, initial, and follow-up appointments if applicable in care setting
• Instructs patients and family regarding treatment and medication instructions
• Collaborate, take direction, and initiate actions that will allow the assumption of cross-functional team actions to ensure seamless patient care
• Phlebotomy
• Perform opening/closing clinic duties and patient call backs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Certificate/License: Current Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following programs is preferred (RMA, AAMA, NCCT, CMAC, AMCA). Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience is preferred

Compensation:

Pay is based on experience, skills and falls within an established range.
