Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the OBGYN team at the 117th Street Clinic in Wauwatosa, WI. This full-time, day-shift position supports physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.

You will interview patients, record medical history, measure vital signs for charting, and prepare treatment rooms while stocking supplies and handling clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month of hire date required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Medical Assistant credentialed from NHA or AMT or NCCT or AAMA obtained prior to hire date.
• High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of applicable experience.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure /Certification/Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Registered Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Registry of Medical Assistants also accepted.
• Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences:

• 40 hours a week | M-F | No weekends or major holidays
• Prior OBGYN/Women's Health experience preferred
