Job summary

Lutheran Health Network is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinicians in a bustling Fort Wayne clinic. The CMA will assist with clinical procedures, patient intake, room preparation, and efficient clinic operations, ensuring high-quality patient service.

The ideal candidate will have CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT certification, BCLS, and 0-1 years of related experience, with proficiency in EHRs and basic computer applications.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, wound care, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, urine tests and EKGs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms for patient visits and procedures.
• Handle patient intake, triage, and documentation under supervision.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals; verify insurance eligibility.
