Job summary

Lutheran Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide patient care under supervision in a clinical setting in Fort Wayne, IN. The CMA will support procedures, care coordination, and administrative tasks to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with injections, phlebotomy, cleaning exam rooms, handling patient intake, and coordinating referrals.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with clinical procedures such as vitals, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, urine tests, EKGs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms for patient visits.
• Manage patient intake, document medical information, and report results.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals; verify insurance eligibility.
• Maintain supply inventory and ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Educate patients on medications and health topics.
