Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• State Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant in a community clinic setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admission, review medical records requests, and gather health information for the provider.
• Record routine vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, pulse oximetry).
• Work at multiple work sites as required by clinic needs.
• Support primary care and specialty services as needed (e.g., dermatology, cardiology, pediatrics, etc.).
• Facilitate medication refills after provider approval.
• Assist providers with paperwork, lab requisitions, referrals, and related documentation.
