Job summary

Mercy Health in Warren, OH, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support the physician practice, delivering quality patient care within the Medical Assisting scope. You will review health records, take vital signs, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, reviewing charts, recording accurate data, and handling clerical tasks. CMA certification within 12 months of start and BLS are required; one year of MA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Active CMA or related medical assisting certification within 12 months of start date.
• BLS certification required at hire for some Mercy Health locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community with respectful customer service.
• Prepare and review patient charts with up-to-date diagnostic information.
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respirations, BP, weight, height).
• Perform clerical duties: inventory, referrals, phones as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
