Job summary

Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) is a Tribal health organization dedicated to elevating the lives of the people we serve. The CMA is a multi-skilled clinical support professional ensuring efficient patient flow, coordinating care, and delivering exceptional patient service during clinics.

This role supports providers and care teams with intake, clinical procedures, and care coordination while upholding KANA values and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Complete CMA certification within one year of employment or hold CMA certification.
• Current CMA certification (preferred) or CNA license.
• Current BLS and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient flow and care coordination in scheduled clinics.
• Prepares exam rooms and assists providers with procedures.
• Greets and prepares patients for examinations.
• Codes and documents patient encounters in the EMR in real time.
• Monitors vital signs and patient histories.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and infection control standards.
