Job summary

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to assist providers in delivering quality care to customer-owners and their families. Under close supervision, you will take vital signs, room patients, perform phlebotomy, and support scheduling and documentation in the medical record.

You will ensure a clean work environment, assist in patient flow, and participate in ongoing training. CMA certification and at least 2 years of CMA experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required.
• Minimum 2 years of CMA experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in delivering quality health care.
• Take vital signs, room patients, perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures; document care in the health record; may function as a scribe.
• Maintain clean work environment and ensure safety; assist in disaster planning and process improvements.
• Mentor CMA team and assist in workflow and inventory management.
