Job summary

Join Vanguard Medical Group in Cranford, NJ as a Certified Medical Assistant II. You will support providers with clinical care, perform routine testing, injections, and documentation, and help ensure smooth patient flow in a fast-paced primary care setting.

We seek a CMA with at least 2 years in a medical office, CMA certification preferred, and proficiency with EMR systems. This full-time role includes rotational evenings and Saturday shifts and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA) strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a medical office or ambulatory setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of EMR documentation and office operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during exams, procedures, and treatments.
• Take and record vital signs, medical history, and chief complaint.
• Administer medications and injections per provider instruction and document in the EMR.
• Perform in‑office testing and assist with phlebotomy as needed.
• Assist with minor procedures including sterilization and wound care.
• Provide patient education and care plans.
