Job summary

Vanguard Medical Group in Randolph, NJ is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant II to support providers and clinical operations, ensure efficient patient care, and enhance the patient experience. The CMA II demonstrates independence in routine duties and collaborates with the care team to deliver team-based, patient-centered care.

The role involves preparing exam rooms, taking vitals, administering medications, in-office testing, and chart preparation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years in a medical office or ambulatory setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of EMR and office operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers during exams and procedures; prepare exam rooms.
• Take vital signs and document medical history and chief complaints.
• Administer medications and injections; document in EMR.
• Support with in-office testing and phlebotomy as needed.
• Assist with minor procedures and wound care; provide patient education.
• Ensure chart prep before visits and identify care gaps.
• Collaborate with care team to improve workflows and patient experience.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
