Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II, Certified to provide routine clinical and administrative support in an outpatient clinic. You will work under supervision of a provider and clinic manager, performing rooming, vital signs, data collection, and basic examinations.

This full-time, onsite position offers day hours in Raleigh, NC, with a $19.12 to $27.17 hourly wage and a $7,500 commitment incentive.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program; CAAHEP/ABHES preferred but not required.
• MA certification from AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NCMA/NCCT required.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time Medical Assistant experience.
• Proficient in documenting in an EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Rooming and intake with vital signs and visit data.
• Collect patient data including medical and social history.
• Assist provider during procedures and examinations.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Schedule tests, referrals, and registrations.
