Job summary

UNC Health Primary Care at Timber Drive in Garner, NC is hiring a Medical Assistant II, Certified to provide routine clinical and administrative support in an outpatient clinic.

You will collect vitals, patient history, assist providers, perform phlebotomy and basic testing, manage rooms, and help with registration and scheduling.

Requirements include CMA certification, BLS, one year of experience, and completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time Medical Assistant, Certified experience.
• Currently certified as CMA/CCMA/AMT/NCMA or equivalent.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs and collect basic data.
• Review medications, allergies, and current pharmacy.
• Assist providers during treatments and procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic testing per provider direction.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms; assist with registration and scheduling.
