UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC, is seeking a Medical Assistant II, Certified to provide routine clinical and administrative support in an outpatient clinic. The role reports to the clinic supervisor and works under clinical supervision of a provider.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, collecting vital signs and histories, assisting with procedures, performing phlebotomy, and maintaining supplies. AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NRCMA/NCMA certification and BLS are required or preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program is strongly preferred but not required.
• Medical Assistant certification from AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NRCMA, or NCMA is required or preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Performs rooming and intake, collecting vital signs and data.
• Collects patient medical and social history.
• Assists the provider during treatments and procedures.
• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens.
• Administers medications under provider supervision.
• Reviews and updates patient records and screenings as needed.
• Maintains exam and treatment rooms and supplies.
• Assists with registration, scheduling, and referrals.
