Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant II to support clinicians in an outpatient clinic. You will perform rooming, collect vital signs, and assist with exams and procedures.

The role requires MA certification (AAMA/AMT/NCMA/CCMA/NCMA) and BLS, with at least one year of experience. The position is onsite with day hours; compensation ranges from $19.12 to $27.17 per hour, plus a $7,500 incentive paid over three years.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time Medical Assistant experience.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is required or preferred per agency rules.
• Ability to document patient information accurately in the EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Perform rooming and intake including vital signs, height and weight.
• Collect medical and social history data from patients.
• Review medications and allergies; prepare the patient for procedures.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures; perform phlebotomy and basic testing.
• Prepare, stock and sterilize exam rooms; support patient registration and scheduling.
