Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program is strongly preferred but not required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant by AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NRCMA, or NCMA.
• Current Basic Life Support (AHA/ARC) certification.
• Minimum one year of full-time Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform rooming/intake with vital signs and visit data.
• Collect patient/family data and medical history.
• Review medications, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.
• Assist provider during treatments and procedures.
• Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy.
• Prepare and administer medications under supervision.
• Conduct tests like EKG and eye exams.
• Ensure exam rooms have supplies and educational materials.
