Job summary

Lutheran Health Physicians is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical and administrative functions under a medical provider’s supervision. Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required

Responsibilities

• Assists with clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, wound care, suture removal, injections, venipuncture, vaccines, urine tests, EKGs, and splints.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms for patient visits and procedures.
• Performs patient intake duties, including test results, triage, and document medical information.
• Reviews and maintains daily logs and documentation.
• Supports administrative duties such as pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and clinic communications.
• Keeps an organized workload and provides prompt, courteous service to providers, patients, and visitors.
• Monitors and requisitions clinic supplies and equipment.
• Educates patients on medications, diets, and health topics.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
