Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide patient care under supervision. You will assist with procedures, manage exam rooms, handle patient intake, and support efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent service.

Ideal candidates have 0-1 years of experience in medical settings and are CMA-certified or NCMA-certified, with strong communication and organizational skills. Position emphasizes reliability and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or externship completed
• CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT license preferred or required per policy
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care techniques

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with clinical procedures (vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines)
• Prepare and clean exam rooms for visits and procedures
• Handle patient intake, test results, triage calls, and document medical information
• Maintain daily logs and documentation
• Support administrative duties (pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification)
• Provide prompt, courteous service to providers, patients, and visitors
• Monitor and requisition clinic supplies and equipment
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and health topics
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain regular attendance and compliance with policies
