Job summary

Community Health Center of Snohomish County seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical teams across sites. The role escorts patients to exam rooms, assists with minor procedures, takes vital signs, and maintains patient records. Float duties may require travel between Everett-Central and other sites to cover staffing needs.

The position emphasizes teamwork, accurate documentation, and adherence to infection control practices while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program; or a minimum of one year of experience working as a medical assistant.
• Medical Assistant – Certified or Interim - certification with the State of Washington.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED) certification obtained at hire.
• Immunity to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and varicella either by vaccination records or titer results.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, interpreters and visitors, in person and by phone, with prompt, courteous service.
• Monitors schedules and patient arrivals to maintain smooth clinic flow.
• Assists providers with minor diagnostic procedures, treatments, and education; measures vital signs and maintains records.
