Job Description

The Certified Medical Assistant reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager and performs multi-skilled activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Supports a patient-centered approach to care, assisting in examinations and treatments, recording vital signs, and preparing examination rooms.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certification with AMT, AAMA, NHA, NAHP, MedCA, NCCT, or NAHP required; CMA or RMA certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with AHA required.
